Cub Scouts 75th Anniversary Celebration

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, in a sabda expressed confidence that the new Scouts Camp and Training Centre, apart from becoming a landmark for the development and excellence of scouting activities, will also become a complete Centre of Excellence and strive to produce Scouts members who possess self-identity and practise the association's core values, apart from becoming a landmark for the progress and excellence of scouting activities. His Royal Highness as the Chief Scout of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association made the sabda at the Cub Scouts 75th Anniversary Celebration and Opening of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association, PPNBD Camp and Training Centre, 17th June morning. Also in attendance was His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's brother, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik. The event took place at the PPNBD Camp and Training Centre, Beribi.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Dato Paduka Archetict Haji Idris bin Haji Abas, President of PPNBD and Awang Haji Junaidi bin Haji Husin, Chief Scouts Commissioner as well as the event's Executive Committee.

The Cub Scouts Loyalty Pledge was led by Abdul Hasbul Wakeel bin Haji Bolkiah, Cub Scout member Troop 1054.

The reading of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Awang Mohammad Arif Fahmi bin Fariszal, Cub Scout member Troop 1075.

In the welcoming address, the President of PPNBD, touched upon several major activities organised by the Association.

In the sabda, His Royal Highness underscored that the progress and achievements of the PPNBD throughout the 75 years clearly reflects the determined efforts of all parties in empowering the scout's movement.  Therefore, the Cub Scouts play a vital role in shaping a prominent personality from a young age.

His Royal Highness in the sabda expressed confidence that the values of the Scout identity will be able to drive and generate success in daily life, including outside the context of the Scout movement.

His Royal Highness then presented the warrants of Scout Commissioners and certificates of appreciation to principals, headmasters of schools and village heads who have Scouts Teams.

27 Commissioner Warrants were awarded to individuals appointed for the service term from 2025 to 2029.

The recipients of Certificates of Appreciation were primary and secondary schools as well as villages that have Scouts Teams.

Doa Selamat was read by Awang Haji Rosaimi bin Haji Othman, Headquarters Commissioner, Religious Affairs Division.
